Department of Women Empowerment and Development:

The aim of this department is to initiate and implement interventions aimed at reducing poverty among poor women in rural and urban Zambia.The main programs are:

(i) Women’s Local Community Industries Creation Program:

The aim of this program is to mobilize and support poor women in rural and urban Zambia to establish their own industries within their own local communities as tools for employment creation and poverty reduction.

(ii) Women Economic Potential Development Program:

This program is aimed at supporting existing promising economic initiatives that are used by poor women to reduce their economic poverty. The program is also aimed at creating platforms where poor women can learn from other Women’s Socio-Economic Initiatives for poverty reduction both from within and outside Zambia.

(iii) Women’s Reality Business School:

The aim of this program is to establish business schools for women in rural and urban Zambia where poor and vulnerable women will be trained in basic business initiatives and  support them to translate the acquired skills into realities.

(iv) Cut Barriers for Women’s Development:

The aim of this program to advocate against all forms injustices that are hindering development of young women and adult women. The program is also aimed at constantly undertaking scientific research on various injustices suffered by women and innovating policy and programmatic measures to address the injustices. Lessons on how to address injustices faced by women are also drawn from other countries across the world.
