Department of Contemporary Public Health Problems, Child and Maternal Health:
The aim of this department is to support public health of the poorest population, children, and women in rural and urban Zambia. The main program in this department are:
(i) Contemporary Public Health Problems Awareness:
The aim of this program is to constantly sensitize poorest people in rural and urban Zambia on any contemporary public health problems that emerge in the Zambian society and give them basic health services to protect them from public health problems.
(ii) Child Health Promotion and Protection:
The aim of this program is to promote and protect health of poorest children in rural and urban Zambia
(iii) Maternal Health Promotion:
The aim of this program is to promote maternal health of poorest women in reproductive age group in rural and urban Zambia.
(iv) Cancer Services for the Poorest Population:
The aim of this program to educate the general public in poor communities of rural and urban Zambia about cancer and support poor patients diagnosed with cancer with various services aimed at reducing poverty among cancer patients and their informal care givers.
(v) Health Support for People Suffering from Neglected Tropical Diseases:
The aim of this program is to reduce poverty among people suffering from Neglected Tropical Diseases such as human African trypanosomiasis, Leishmaniasis, leprosy, onchocerciasis, schistosomiasis, trachoma, and trichuriasis and Elephantiasis (lymphatic filariasis)in rural and urban Zambia by providing them with basic health services
(v) HIV/AIDS Services for the Poorest Population:
The aim of this program is to support poor patients living with HIV/AIDS with various services aimed at reducing poverty among HIV/AIDS patients and their informal care givers
(vii) Research on Public Health, Child, Maternal Health:
The aim of this program to undertake scientific research on contemporary public health problems, child and maternal health related issues in rural and urban Zambia in order to generate scientific knowledge to inform policy and practice on how to address contemporary public health problems, and promote and sustain child and maternal health in rural and urban Zambia.
(viii) Consultancy and Training:
We do consultancy work and training in public health, child and maternal health from social sciences point of view.
